Auparavant j\u2019\u00e9coutais AC\/DC, Kate Bush, Genesis, Mike Oldfield, Peter Gabriel et consorts. Mais Marillion \u00e9tait le premier groupe que je d\u00e9couvrais \u00e0 sa quasi cr\u00e9ation et j\u2019ai grandi ensuite avec leur musique. Je ne me lancerai pas dans combat de coq pour d\u00e9fendre la p\u00e9riode Fish ou Hogarth, j\u2019aime les deux \u00e9poques pour des raisons tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes. Par contre, je vais vous livrer dans l\u2019ordre de pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence, mon top dix des albums de Marillion, un classement souvent \u00e0 contre courant des go\u00fbts des fans du J\u2019ai cet album dans la peau depuis sa sortie, il me fait toujours autant vibrer \u00e9coute apr\u00e8s \u00e9coute avec \u2018Quartz\u2019 ou \u2018This Is The 21st Century\u2019. Marillion s\u2019offrait un album diff\u00e9rent de tous les autres, moderne et pas tr\u00e8s progressif finalement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_CiSQG23Z_I\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2 &#8211; Marbles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bon l\u00e0, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, tout le monde est d\u2019accord pour affirmer qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un des chefs d\u2019\u0153uvres de Marillion. Des textes tr\u00e8s personnels sign\u00e9s Steve Hogarth, des titres fleuves \u2018Invisible Man\u2019, \u2018Angelina\u2019 ou \u2018Ocean Cloud\u2019, des sonorit\u00e9s nouvelles, culte. Dommage qu\u2019ils aient fini par \u2018Neverland\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zXugzawSvvg\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>3 &#8211; Misplaced Childhood<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Impossible de passer \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du premier concept album o\u00f9 Fish mettait son \u00e2me \u00e0 nu. Le seul Marillion qui explosera les charts, un incontournable mais que j\u2019\u00e9coute de moins en moins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OQ4oaLUilBc\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;4 &#8211; Somewhere Else<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oui, ce mal aim\u00e9 appartient \u00e0 mon top ten. Il n\u2019y a rien \u00e0 jeter dans cet album, le groupe prend tous les risques, explore une pop prog psych\u00e9 avec bonheur et m\u00eame l\u2019improbable \u2018Most Toys\u2019 est une bombe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ESCKC8fdML4\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5 &#8211; Radiation&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oui je sais, c\u2019est un mal aim\u00e9. Et pourtant. Comme Anoracknophobia, c\u2019est une des grosses prises de risque de Marillion. Je v\u00e9n\u00e8re tout particuli\u00e8rement Trois titres particuli\u00e8rement : \u2018Cathedral Wall\u2019, \u2018These Chains\u2019 et \u2018A Few Words For The Dead\u2019. Et m\u00eame si le \u2018Three Minutes Boy\u2019 m\u2019\u00e9nerve au plus au point, cet album est fabuleux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FrmMPdNs0Kw\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>6 &#8211; Fugazi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sans doute par ce que c\u2019est le premier album de Marillion que j\u2019ai \u00e9cout\u00e9 avec \u2018She Cameleon\u2019 il y a 35 ans dans la cour de mon lyc\u00e9e et parce que \u2018Jigsaw\u2019, au refrain d\u2019une rare&nbsp; violence, m\u2019interpelle toujours autant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZMYULCxjIHM\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>7 &#8211; Afraid Of Sunlight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet album m\u2019a toujours \u00e9bloui avec \u2018Out of this world\u2019, une pi\u00e8ce qui me fait toujours autant planer, comme \u2018Beautiful\u2019 et \u2018afraid Of Sunlight\u2019. Pour ne rien g\u00e2cher, la pochette de l\u2019album est juste fabuleuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NFi_BMYgaPQ\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>8 &#8211; Brave<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oui quand m\u00eame, en huiti\u00e8me position je sais. Oui c\u2019est Le concept p\u00e9riode Hogarth, oui c\u2019est un album atypique qui a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 des mois de travail, mais bon, ce n\u2019est pas celui que je retiens en premier m\u00eame si je le poss\u00e8de en de tr\u00e8s nombreuses \u00e9ditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JGws-M1hOBk\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>9 &#8211; Script For A Jester Tear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le premier Marillion est brouillon, il ne poss\u00e8de pas encore vraiment d\u2019identit\u00e9 propre mais propose une rupture avec le progressif de l\u2019\u00e9poque. Un concentr\u00e9 de violence et d\u2019\u00e9motion dans les mots et la musique qui deviendra la marque de fabrique du groupe pour quelques ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5uSSMa6YSlU\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>10 &#8211; Marillion.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Encore un mal aim\u00e9 soyons clair. Marillion s&rsquo;est totalement perdu en chemin en voulant sortir des hits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 &#8211; This Strange Engine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 un dernier titre \u00e9quipe magnifique et quelques pi\u00e8ces qui, au fil des ann\u00e9es sont devenues de vieilles amies, il y a toujours cet insupportable \u2018Hope For The Future\u2019 qui me g\u00e2che le plaisir \u00e0 chaque fois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 &#8211; \u2018Happiness is the Road\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lui, je ne l\u2019\u00e9coute jamais. Il m\u2019ennuie tout simplement.
