Mais pour ma part, je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re toujours l\u2019original aux contrefa\u00e7ons, m\u00eame celles qui viennent de Vintimille. J\u2019ai vu Trick of The Tail et The Watch en live mais cela reste tr\u00e8s \u00e9loign\u00e9 du concert de Genesis \u00e0 la Beaujoire \u00e0 Nantes le 23 juin 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si j\u2019aime The Watch, c\u2019est pour leurs albums studio qu\u2019ils ne jouent presque jamais en live h\u00e9las. Du r\u00e9tro prog qui jette un pont entre les seventies et le vingt et uni\u00e8me si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je n\u2019ai que leurs trois derniers disques \u00e0 la maison. L\u2019excellent <a href=\"https:\/\/thewatchband.bandcamp.com\/album\/tracks-from-the-alps\">Tracks From The Alps<\/a>, le moins convaincant <a href=\"https:\/\/thewatchband.bandcamp.com\/album\/seven\">Seven<\/a> et leur tout nouveau <a href=\"https:\/\/thewatchband.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-art-of-bleeding\">The Art Of Bleeding<\/a> sorti il y a peu. Mais il existe cinq autres disques couvrant la p\u00e9riode de 2001 \u00e0 2011 dans leur discographie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"998\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/the-art.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/the-art.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/the-art-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/the-art-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/the-art-768x766.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/the-art-301x300.jpg 301w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Le vinyle en deux volets arrive avec un CD, un livret, une galette noire et un poster d\u00e9dicac\u00e9 par le groupe avec en prime un petit mot.\u00a0L\u2019artwork comme la musique nous ram\u00e8ne cinquante ans en arri\u00e8re mais les sujets abord\u00e9s sont bien contemporains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il ne s\u2019agit pas d\u2019un concept mais d\u2019un album \u00e0 th\u00e8me. Plusieurs histoires sont racont\u00e9es ici, des r\u00e9cits autour du sang : canibalisme, sorcellerie, suicide ou encore la proie d\u2019un tueur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ne faites pas comme moi, n\u2019\u00e9coutez pas le CD pour d\u00e9couvrir l\u2019album. Le compact disc est un sampler revisitant en sept titres la carri\u00e8re de The Watch, rien \u00e0 voir avec The Art Of Bleeding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les musiciens milanais poursuivent l&rsquo;\u0153uvre de Genesis avec huit morceaux reprenant les sonorit\u00e9s de Nursery Crime jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 A Trick Of The Tail avec toutefois de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e9ments modernes comme dans \u2018Red\u2019 ou encore \u2018Hatred Of Wisdom\u2019. Curieusement The Art Of Bleeding rajeunit un genre devenu poussi\u00e9reux apr\u00e8s une cinquantaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es sur \u00e9tag\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mellotron, orgue Hammond, fl\u00fbtes, guitares six et douze cordes, batterie, percussions, bruitages et cris nous immerge jusqu\u2019aux oreilles dans l\u2019h\u00e9moglobine, un bain de jouvence progressif jubilatoire \u00e0 ne pas manquer.
