Et comme je ne connaissais pas, je suis all\u00e9 y jeter une oreille curieuse, allong\u00e9 dans la chambre en sous-sol de notre location pr\u00e8s d\u2019une plage crasseuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaos and the Cosmos est un groupe bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Seattle qui propose un art rock progressif riche en instruments acoustiques, voyez plut\u00f4t :\u00a0violon, alto, violoncelle et trompette se greffent sur un formation prog classique guitare, basse, batterie, claviers, donnant une coloration toute particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 leur musique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"&quot;u Go-Go&quot; by Chaos and The Cosmos\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ApWuLytbUOI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Song poss\u00e8de un c\u00f4t\u00e9 d\u00e9suet et l\u00e9ger \u00e0 la fois, un peu canterbury et clairement atypique dans la mouvance progressive actuelle. Une musique qui \u00e9pouse \u00e0 la fois des formes classiques, folks et progressives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019album se d\u00e9cline en quatre morceaux et sept pistes, dont \u2018Our Song Suite\u2019 qui tient sur toute la face B du vinyle et dont la derni\u00e8re partie, \u2018House of Love\u2019, dure pas loin de treize minutes tout de m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Our-Song-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Our-Song-1024x1024.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Our-Song-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Our-Song-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Our-Song-768x768.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.blog.neoprog.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Our-Song.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La pochette o\u00f9 la terre semble aspir\u00e9e par une singularit\u00e9, la photo du groupe o\u00f9 les musiciens sont d\u00e9guis\u00e9s (pardon mais je ne vois pas d\u2019autre terme appropri\u00e9), comme le jingle de la s\u00e9rie The Outer Limits utilis\u00e9 au d\u00e9but du premier morceau \u2018The Singularity\u2019 donne le ton de cet album con\u00e7u pour faire plaisir aux geeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Song se distingue par sa fra\u00eecheur, par la profusion de cordes ainsi que des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences diss\u00e9min\u00e9es un peu partout dans l\u2019album comme une sonnerie de t\u00e9l\u00e9phone ou cette r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 une vieille s\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018u Go-Go\u2019 est sautillant comme un titre de Big Big Train, \u2018prologue\u2019, l\u2019unique instrumental de l\u2019album, joue de cin\u00e9matique symphonique, \u2018Heart Flies\u2019 donne dans le space rock classico Vangelis romantique et \u2018House of Love\u2019 dans le psych\u00e9 seventies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le groupe ne vivrait pas aux U.S.A., je me serais certainement offert l\u2019\u00e9dition vinyle, mais avec les frais de ports exorbitants sans parler des probables frais de douane, je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re me contenter de la version digitale que vous trouverez sur <a href=\"https:\/\/chaosandthecosmos.bandcamp.com\/album\/our-song\">Bandcamp<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our Song n\u2019est sans doute pas un de ces grands albums qui figureront sur le podium 2023, mais c\u2019est un disque fort sympathique qui repose les oreilles et apporte un peu de fra\u00eecheur et de fantaisie dans ce monde de brutes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Chaos and the Cosmos - Our Song\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YDcMHZ1mlMc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
